NASA has confirmed its intent to test their new Space Launch System as well as Orion spacecraft in 2019. EM-1 (Exploration Missions No. 1) will be fully automated without any human crew within the Orion. Exploration Mission-1 is the first in a series of research missions that will take humans to deep space and eventually to our first neighbour planet Mars.
